Exclusive: 'I am going to end up homeless and in a shelter soon' : Aussies 'abandoned' overseas as flight restrictions extended

 Overseas Australians trying to return home have told nine.com.au they feel like they have been "abandoned" after caps on international flights into Australia were extended.

The government has said Australians who were overseas when they were told to return on March 17 have had 'plenty of time' to get back.

But many insist they still haven't been able to get a flight, or didn't need to come back before as they were then settled abroad.
